Monsters In The House

A four-week workshop in writing the stories that scare you

The Dark of the Woods

Starts October 4, 2015
Hosted by Eckleburg Workshops

Why are we afraid of the dark? How do writers terrify us with nothing but their words? And how can we do the same in our own stories?

Through a series of unnerving exercises, we will plumb classic fairy tales, ghost story tropes, and our own experiences to generate material for new and in-progress stories.

The “Monsters in the House” online workshop isn’t just for horror writers. It’s for writers who want to explore their own fears, dreams, and memories to create new primal fiction.
